Tobacco Program Has New Location & Consultant
On July 1st the Wyoming Quit Tobacco
Program (WQTP) moved to the office of
Well-Being of Wyoming located at 152 N.
Durbin St. Suit #314 in Casper.  Deborah
Walton, Director of Well-Being, says,
“It makes good sense to have both programs
under the same roof, as we work so closely
together in our efforts to educate Natrona
County citizens about the harmful effects
of tobacco use and assist current tobacco
users who want help quitting.”Walton
welcomes new Program Consultant
for Natrona County, Tress Cellar, who
brings enthusiasm and passion to the
program. The Wyoming Quit Tobacco
Program provides low-cost cessation
medications, free counseling, and education
to people who are ready to quit smoking or
using spit tobacco.Smoking accounts
for at least 30% of all cancer deaths and
is responsible for 1 in 5 deaths in Wyoming
every year.  Because tobacco use is the
number one cause of preventable death in
the nation, the staff of Well-Being of
Wyoming and the Wyoming Quit Tobacco
Program is committed to getting the word
out about the help that is available to all
Wyoming residents, especially those
in Natrona County who want to quit.  It all
starts with a toll-free call to enroll at
1-800-QUIT-NOW    (1-800-784-8669).
“We are here to help,” says Walton, “whether
you are a business owner or health care
provider, we can help you provide your
employees or patients with the resources
to quit tobacco and live healthier lives.
” For more information, Walton can be
