The Community:
We educate on any issue regarding tobacco use, prevention,
and how to get help to quit
We facilitate community awareness on tobacco issues
We promote materials about the hazards of tobacco use and
how to get help to quit at community events through booths and
brochure distribution at businesses
We provide the “Got ID?” materials to businesses that sell
tobacco products to educate the business, their employees, and
the public about the laws surrounding sales to minors, etc.
We lend resources on tobacco prevention and cessation in the
form of videos, books, brochures, etc.
We give presentations to organizations and clubs on the hazards
of tobacco use, secondhand smoke, and how to get help to quit
We distribute Smoke-free Homes Kits to assist families in
making their homes smoke-free.
Natrona County Youth:
We present to youth groups and organizations on the hazards
of tobacco use and strategies to learn how to say NO!
We demonstrate computer simulations on how tobacco ages
you.
We collaborate with the Sheriff and Police Dept. in the DARE
Program
We partner with the Natrona County School District #1 to
promote Tobacco Free Schools of Excellence
We participate on the Natrona County Prevention Coalition
which works to prevent substance abuse in our community by
promoting healthy and positive choices for our youth
We encourage children and teens not to start using tobacco.
Businesses:
We give presentations to business owners and managers about
the benefits of a tobacco-free business
We promote and educate on smoke-free policy development
and the cessation services available to employees
We provide copies of the Wyoming Business Toolkit to
employers, which offers a step-by-step guide to make businesses
tobacco-free
We provide pay-check stuffers for businesses on any tobacco
issue
We give presentations to employees about the hazards of
tobacco use, secondhand smoke, and the resources available to
help them quit
Health Care Providers:
We provide materials for patients who are interested in quitting
tobacco
We educate health care providers on tobacco use and the
cessation programs and resources available to help their patients
quit
